Next Release Coming Soon!
If you’re a Jorja Matthews fan, I’m afraid to disappoint you with the fact that the next novel isn’t in the mystery series. That novel is still a WIP but it’s coming along and I hope to have it ready for publishing soon.
In the meantime, if you subscribe to my newsletter or saw this post about my cover reveal, you know I have a YA novel coming out soon. I’ve written a novel in a completely new genre, if that’s not enough pressure, but I’ve also decided to dedicate a website specific to the YA novel. I don’t know if I’ve made the right decision or if I’m making more work for myself (yeah…setting up another website was extra work, so for a few weeks I was kicking myself!), but for now I thought it would work better if my novel, Born or Bred, was allowed to split off from the pack in order to have it’s own voice separate from my mysteries and other musings.
So, without further digression…ahem, I’d like to share where I am with the new website so you can check it out if you’re so inclined. It’s nothing fancy and I’m sticking with a free site for now so please forgive any ads that pop up at the bottom. I may change that later depending on how I want to change the look.
The home page offers the cover and a quick view of the available links for each page:
The “Sneak Peeks” page gives you just that…a sneak peek into some of the chapters in the novel. The novel will be available in September, so I’ll be adding additional chapters over the next couple of weeks until the book goes live.
Under the News & Updates tab, I’ll be sharing random blog posts, the writing process, interesting articles and research behind the story, as well as any events, promotions or other news related to the novel.
And this site also has an “About” page, as well as a “Contact” page for readers who want to either contact me about an event or book club, or follow me on social media.
By the way, I’ve added a new board to Pinterest, that I’ll share here just this once, for anyone who follows me on Pinterest. I titled the board “The World as we left it” and I used it as a form of inspiration when I tried to visualize what my YA world might look like. There are some interesting photos around the world of abandoned places, some beautiful and some a little sad, but all interesting considering they each have a story to tell.
And that’s it…for now. I’ll share more soon about Jorja and other author-related musings. As always, whether it’s my mysteries or even my upcoming release, if you know anyone who might be interested in reading my novels, don’t hesitate to share my information with them!
Until next time…take care and happy reading.
