Podcast interview…check!
Are you curious about my background as a private investigator? About how I decided to finally write a book? How I ended up writing series? About my writing process? What I might be currently writing?
I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Vikki J. Carter as part of her Authors of the Pacific Northwest podcast. If you’ve read the Jorja Matthews mystery series, you’re aware the protagonist is a bookstore owner and also a private investigator. If you know me, or have attended any of the book events where I speak about my background and writing process, you also know that I’m a former private investigator. However, if you haven’t yet read the books (Want to? Check them out here. You can start the series for only 99 cents, which is the current eBook price of the first volume!), or haven’t had the pleasure of meeting me or hearing me speak at a local event, you can have a listen to my author podcast interview because it’s now available. Just click here!
This podcast took place a few months ago, actually it was at the end of February, so quite a few months ago! At the time of the interview, I’d had a great run with a huge event in October, another event in November, a fun book club meeting in January, a speaker series event in February and then this interview. I had plans already set for another event in March and a large event during the summer months. *sigh* Both of those events were cancelled for obvious reasons. So much has changed since the podcast interview and events will be on hold for awhile, but when it comes to author firsts, I’m now able to check this experience off my list.
The podcast is an hour long, so grab a cup of coffee (or whatever), sit down and take a break for a spell. When I listened to it, it was odd to hear to myself speak…my voice doesn’t sound like “me” but it was fun to listen to the interview as someone else might hear it. I had a great time discussing books and writing with Vikki, and I hope you’ll enjoy listening to it as well. Be warned though, I gave a reading at the end…not something I do, ever, so I’m not great at it. We all have our faults and that’s one of mine! Don’t judge my book or this podcast by MY reading, please, but enjoy the rest of it and pass it on to other friends or family who you think might be interested. Seriously, don’t be shy and pass it along! 🙂
And, if you enjoy listening to podcasts, especially interviews with authors, and especially with authors who live in the PNW, Vikki has quite an array of interviews you can choose from across all genres. You can check them out here.
If you enjoy the podcast, I’d love hearing your thoughts or questions. I am working on the novels I plan to release this year, and my young adult is *this close* to being ready, so if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, get on my list so you can be a part of any sneak peeks I offer my newsletter group.
Otherwise, enjoy the podcast, enjoy your coffee (or whatever) and enjoy your day!
Until next time…
